I went to a stamp a stack yesterday and made a bunch of cards. It was a lot of fun. I will post some of the cards on here as soon as I get time to take some pictures. The cards were my friend Jeni's ideas not mine. She is way to smart. One of the ladies I work with went with me. She is funny. She brought her daughter-in-law with her. That was fun also. In speaking of work, I go back to work today. The real world is calling me back to it's doors. I have a pretty good job, it supports my habit of stamping pretty darn well, so I will not complain about working. I do hate leaving my little precious. She is so wonderful to be able to spend time with.

This roll top desk (which I think is awsome) is my previous stamp room. I stored a few cherished stamps in it. The rest of my stamps are two floors up, so Stamping for me has always been an excercise. If you look out the doorway, (ignore the junk please) You will see the new addition to the house. It is my stamp room and then through the second doorway you see my beedroom. We have been working on this for what seems like forever now. I am thankful that we have come this far. The last few weeks it seems to have come together much more quickly. Our contractor has a very good friend of ours dying so it is back to going slow again. I am thankful that the contractor is working on something so unimportant that he can take the time to spend with his close friend. He is a wonderful man to have working always happy and telling jokes or whatever needs to be done. He has even helped us fix things that have gone wrong with the original part of the house.
You would not think that a few pieces of plywood would be so difficult to move, but then they are in Dad and Marty's way and they are doing quite a bit of walking through there. So I spend my down time (I'm laid off for a week) hunting for neat things others have done, making new recipies, and playing with the princess. It is quite fun.

p.s. There is a pay it forward a few posts down. It ends tomorrow. You would have a good chance of winning, So far only one person has signed up.
So I have updated my scissor markers. I like this idea better. I finally found the cell phone charm creators. I am also using something besides wire to make them with.
I made these homemade rolls today. They turned out good enough, my dad said to keep the recipe in the front of the box. The contractor that is building on my stamp room and bedroom said that mom could stay in Ky for another week. He was really impressed. The recipe really was very easy. I really am not sure what it meant when it said Knead the bread 10 times so I just folded it over itself ten times. That worked ok. I stopped long enough on it once it acutally rose a bit. Of course, it did take me longer than it was supposed to. But maybe that is because I was chasing Sami around while doing it. Sorry for the poor quality picture. I took it with my cell phone.
I found this recipe at Betty Crocker.com. here is the exact link. http://www.bettycrocker.com/Recipes/Recipe.aspx?recipeId=6994

My precious was worn out from a nice long day. We went to see our cousins at the Mc'd's playland.

This is the color of my new stamp room. I think it is kind of bright, I wanted to go with blue, I was afraid it would just be to dark. I guess checkerberry should provide me with some inspiration so that everything I make will not be chocolate chip anymore. :)
For todays find....
(can you tell those 11 pieces of plywood are driving me crazy)

I found some blog candy:

I seriously have not even touched my stamps for weeks. Goodness it has been almost a month since I have had any fun in my stamp desk. I have however finished the outside walls for my new stamp room, ran the electric, put up the drywall, installed the furnace/a/c, and bought the pink paint to paint the walls. (really I had a lot of help, i mostly cook lunch for the guys who do most of the work.) Right now I cannot even get to my stamp desk because plywood is piled up in front of it so deep. Tomorrow I am supposed to insulate my ceiling, and start hanging the drop ceiling, I will actually be able to help with that part of it. I also redesigned my scissor markers. I think I made them a lot better. We shall see though. I wish I had something nice and encouraging to post on here, but honestly I don't.

I used Delight in life to make the flowers on the page, and I believe doodle alphabet to spell out the names. This was a fun page to make. Really simple too. I did have a little bit of problem with the ink smearing at first. This is a very very slick paper. I like blue a lot though. So I used it anyway. If I remember correctly this was my daughters first Easter dress and a few of her cousins. I wish I would have written more about it then. oh well. I usually journal to much.

This is another scrapbook page I used stamps on. I tried to mimic stickers by cutting out some of the thoroughly thankful stamps and using them throughout the page.

I meantioned earlier in my blogging that I made my grandma and I boxes to hold our cards in. This is my box. I actually redid a box that someone had made for a baby box and made it a card box. I used my cricut to cut out the hearts, balloons, words and flowers. I had a good time making the box and keeping it filled up with cards.

It has once again been awhile since I posted anything at all. I can't honestly remember the last time I signed on. I have been very busy. I think it has been two

weeks since I sat down to make a card. I was going to make one today, but the guys were here to work on the A/C for the new addition to the house and I really didn't want to make the mess it takes to clean out my desk enough to make a card on it. I will be so happy when I get my scrapbooking room. It is going to be all shelves and desks just for me to scrapbook and make cards in. Woohoo.

I did make these cute little scissor markers today though. Some of them I already had made, I just redid the clasp on them. I wish I could find the Clasp in silver for right now brass will have to do though.

Sweet dreams

p.s. I'm selling these to raise money for autism. The price is $5.00 and all of the money will go to autism.
