I used the snow on the dark green flower

I used the snow on the dark green flowers.

An idea for my Christmas card this year.

I colored this with my new markers, I was thinking about sprinkling the new flower soft I had on the tops of the leaves, but I don't think the green is bright enough to make it contrast. I guess I will have to try it to see.

Hi!

Hey I am back from the Land of goofed up computers and forgotten passwords. I finally went shopping and bought myself a new mac to work on. I LOVE it. Maybe Love is a strong word to be attached to a computer, but I do enjoy it a lot. I just thought I would update you on a few things. I hosted a cardswap today at my house. That was a huge amount of fun. I love my splitcoast friends! I will post some pictures from that later. I got a few new stamp supplies today. Some copic markers, some flower soft glue, some polar white flower soft, a house mouse stamp, some bo bunny cooking stamps and a refill for my glue glider pro. (gotta love that thing) They all came from scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com. Can you tell I'm addicted to that place. Give it a try! you will love it too. LOL
I'm using "A Cardinal Christmas" from Stampin' UP for this years christmas card. Have you seen it yet? It's a wonderful stamp set. I just uploaded a picture I colored to maybe use as my image for the christmas card. My family is into birds. We sit in our breezeway and watch them a lot.

"May all the blessings of the season fill your heart and home with Joy!"

Sweet dreams
Sandy

Chili pepper stamp

I got this stamp from Wally world about 10-12 yrs ago. I used it for the first time yesterday. LOL. It is really for stamping on walls with paint.

Salad recipe

A card, a card, I really made a card...

I got a new stamp today also. I also got a new set of copic markers. They are the atyouSpica markers set B. I love them so much. Can you see the sparkles in the peppers? And the glitter in the fire? I colored the mouse with my Bic markers. I know not nearly as cool as my new ones, but they were all I could find without making a lot of noise. It is midnight after all. LOL. I got my new markers from.... you guessed it.... www.scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com

pasta con Broccoli recipe card

I have a new stamp set. I got it from scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com today. I may revisit this card and stamp on it a bit.

Individual Beef Wellington.

ok I dearly love this recipe. In 1994, my sister had the family over for new years eve dinner. She bought us Beef Wellington. I fell in love with it. Honestly I have no idea what it tasted like, I haven't eaten it since, but I do remember liking it a lot. I finally decided to look this up on the internet and I made it for the family. I changed it a little bit. I used chicken and left out the wine. But it is a wonderful recipe.

strawberry cheesecake muffins

this is a recipe card for strawberry cheesecake muffins. I used my tart and tangy stamp set from stampin up for the strawberry and then A clear stamp set I picked up from somewhere for the muffin.

chopped Salad recipe card revisited

This is another option I used to make my Chopped Salad recipe card.

Cover page.

I used my old creative memories stickers to write kiss the cook on this one. I also used a clear stamp to stamp the spiral. The paper is old creative memories also. This is actually a clear album the dark flower and the buttons are on the acrylic.

sour cream mashed potaotes

I didn't really stamp on this one. I just used the dreadfull ranger distress ink pad I have. Lol. This one was Worn lipstick. I just put the stamp pad on the paper and made it work.

Chopped Salad recipe card

I I used the clear stamp that Julie gave me for my birthday. Isn't it wonderful? I just love the butterfly. Julie has some of the best stuff in her store for recipe swaps. Check it out... www.scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com

finished christmas gifts....

I have now completely finished two books for christmas. I am in need of 59 more cards to completely fill my christmas albums up. I am so excited. I ordered my stamp set today to start on christmas cards. I only have maybe a hundred christmas stamp sets but would I want to use them Uh nooooooo. I had to have a cardinal christmas. I am sooooo excited to get it. I hope all the stamp club girls hurry so I can get it soon. I am trying to decide what to use for labels this year. No one really notices but I make it a point to cordinate all of my gift labels with my christmas cards. I'm just not feeling the label with this set. Maybe something will come to me soon. If not I'll just use red paper and go from there. I'm so excited about christmas already. I have been working on it since last Jan. Yeah I know i'm a dork but hey. Anyway I have to run now.

Don't forget if you make a donation to my Walk Now for Autism team I will send you a gift! there is a link on the side of my page.

2009 Christmas gifts.

I bet you all can guess what this is.... I got these 6x6 photo albums for less than a buck at archivers a few weekends ago. They are perfect for the recipe swaps I am making. I have considered altering the albums but then I am afraid they will not be kitchen worthy. I still have to consider that option. This one is so close to being full. I can get 22 recipies in them. I have 20 in this one. If I decide to put a recipe inside the front cover I will need two more cards to fill it up. I just found out that two of the swaps I have already sent off to got cancelled so I am going to have to work harder to fill them up. What a bumb deal. I'll have to see what happens... Anyway I have 100 6x6 recipe cards made total. I need 198. I should be able to finish well before christmas.

This will be my first completed christmas gift. But i need to complete two more pages first.

lemon pie recipe.

I used a close to my heart stamp on this recipe card. I am not sure which one it is, I got it in a card making kit. I hate using clear stamps they are so much work. But I do have to admit that It was nice when I realized I hadn't stamped all of the flower. I set the stamp back down by looking through the block and restamped it perfect. This recipe card was supposed to have a black and white picture of my Mema on it, but I forgot my plan and went ahead and stamped on it. Oh well!

another carmel recipe

How many times do you think i'm gonna have to use crystal effects before i figure out you don't need a lot ? I only used Crystal effects on this one. I put so uch of it on here that it is still sticky this morning. When will I ever learn to control my hands agian?

My finished and full ribbon holder....

Thanks dad for the doll rod. I have my ribbon with small holes hanging in the front, then behind that where you can't see I have the ribbon with big holes. On top I have a piar of scissors, and the leftover ribbons that I have had to buy pre-cut or cut the wrong size of. It's not the perfect system, but it works great for the amount of room I have. What made me think that a 12x12 crafting room would be to big???? lol I am thankful for the space that I have....

German chocolate pie card 3

German chocolate pie, card 4

So this one if for my own personal christmas gifts. Or maybe to sell to raise money for autism.

my work area tonight.

I cannot figure out how in the world I got anything done tonight. I ran upstairs to talk to dad for a minute and when I came back down this is what my table looked like. Since I childless tonight I can't blame it on anyone but me. I have been highly productive though. I made a card. A useless project. I started putting together christmas presents. Didn't finish them cause all of the projects I am making to go in them are not done. I finished a couple of recipe cards. I cut out the paper for three more sets of cards that are not even started. Taped one set of cards together. taped another set of cards together and made ribbons for them. Then I was talkin to mom and we she told me one of my recipe cards needed something on it, so I designed a way to make that, Dad just has to finish creating it for me ( he won't let me use his saw). I still have the energy to do more, but I would like to get up tomorrow so I think I will stop now and try to sleep.

Another new stamp.

Dreams are wishes of the heart....

I got a new stamp today.

I went to a few stores today and bought a few things I probably shouldn't have. This stamp was one of the things I shouldn't have bought. I really like teh stamp. I don't like the fact that it is a unicorn. Oh well, I'll probably tape it off the next time I use the stamp. I used my new die cut also. The die cut came from www.scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com .

Non recipe recipe card

this was the same card before I stuffed it and decided to add Sassy Suzi.

This is a non recipe card recipe card.

This "recipe" card is for a coffee cup snuggle. I don't know if you can see it or not, but Sassy suzi is sittin in the corner of the dots. I used a staple to hold the ribbon on. I was having serious issues with that ribbon sticking to this card stock for some reason. I also used a brad and a coffee cup charm in the top corner. This one is actually not completed. It is waiting for the rest of the instructions. I plan to cut them out in a circle....

German Chocolate pie recipe card 2

Same song as card one only verse two. I changed the paper was basically all I did. Part 3 is coming soon. Expect minor changes again.

German Chocolate pie card 1

I Am on the Recipe card binge again! This one is for Dad's favorite pie. It is a German Chocolate pie. It is amazingly good. I used like it a late to stamp the Sentement and to stamp little piles of cool whip on the bottom and top of the card. I should have used the white puffy stuff to make it look like cool whip, I didn't think about having it though and so I used stickles to make sparkly clouds of cool whip. Next time I will know better. This is version one of this same recipe.

Me Myself and I!

Did I mention that I am going back to college? I am going to start Aug. 19th. That happens to be my big sisters birthday also. We are officially declaring it the best day of the year. That declaration will stay in place untill something else wonderful happens. I can't wait. I just so excited. I have also been making recipe cards more and more and more of them. I made one fo those new tri-fold cards this week also but I sent it to the swap with out taking a picture of it. Maybe the hostess of that swap will take one for me then I can post it. LOL. It's not like I don't have a camera...

DD

This has nothing to do with cards in any way shape or form, but she is so cute... :)

Kind card

My grandma fell the other day. She ended up moving in with us for awhile. One of my friends at SCS sent her this encouragement card. Thank you Leslie.

This award was given to me by Julie. Check out her blog. It is wonderful. If I would have thought about it I would have given her this award. http://specialcraftmom.blogspot.com/

I would have also given this award to Jeni. http://www.jeninorthcutt.blogspot.com/ She has taught me so much about stamping and actually talked me into getting my first stamp.

I think my third favorite would be Cindy at: http://just-crafting.blogspot.com/

Then there is Aimee at Ms. Manners stamping. I have followed her for a very long time. http://msmannersstamping.blogspot.com/

I also love I Stamp http://stampinat6213.blogspot.com/

My other favorite blog I can no longer find cause I lost her link, but some day I will find her again. That one is called, God myself and the railroad track if I remember correctly.

Ladies remember you are in no particular order, I love you all. Thanks for sharing your work.

Now! here are the rules:1.# By accepting this award you recognize that the giver ‘LIKES YOUR STYLE’.2.# You agree to display this award proudly on your site, and include a post linking back to the giver.3.# And because there are so many blogs out there which you like their style, you will share this award with them… however many that may be.

Another notebook.

Another notebook I made for the flea market this weekend. I used doodle this to make the swirls. I am so happy I bought that stamp. I can't wait to use it again.

Same difference.

Another view of my notebook I made for the flea market. This time I used chocolate chip instead of white ink though.

Same difference.
